Gratitude Story from United Kingdom

View this post on Instagram

If you wanted to send a thank-you note to someone in your life, who would it be, and what is one of your best memories of that person? "It was the first time I ever went to England; my girlfriend-to-be lived in a sort of student house, and there was this one guy there with a Beatles-looking hairstyle and a strange accent, something in-between Yorkshire and southern England. He was somewhat inward and cranky all at the same time. However, we started talking and soon found out we had a whole lot more in common than we thought, from a love of Carpenter’s The Thing and Big Trouble in Little China, as well as a fondness for The Clash, Husker Du, and Thin Lizzy. He brought me his acoustic guitar—a wonderful Taylor, and we hit off for the rest of the night. I’d play something, and he’d fill in the lead and vice versa. We eventually ran out of beer, and we hastened to the nearest Tesco to buy a new batch of lager and spent the rest of the night listening to his vinyl collection: all the way from Slayer to Enrio Morricone."Thanks, Joe; it was a blast."
