Gratitude Story from Hungary

Mária Garád If you wanted to send a thank-you note to someone in your life, who would it be, and what is one of your best memories of that person? "I want to thank to my husband, Péter.  We have been married for forty-one years, and life has been like a poem with him. We are living together and keeping our love, respect, and family ties intact. One recent memory I have of him is the trip from which we just returned today.  I would like to thank my dearest husband for taking me again to Hallstatt, Austria. He had taken me there first on our honeymoon, forty-one years ago.  The landscape was one like the ones described in fairy tales.  We enjoyed the beauty of nature and refreshed our love in the same place. We had fun, walked around, had dinner there as we rewound our memories. It was unforgettable. We love traveling and exploring new places together every year." ………….. Péter Garád If you wanted to send a thank-you note to someone in your life, who would it be, and what is one of your best memories of that person? "I am very grateful to my wife, Mária, for being a part of my life for the past forty-one years. I also would like to thank her for accompanying me on our last trip to Hallstatt, Austria. She was a kindergarten teacher. So she mirrored that mother part of herself in our life together by being a good wife, mother, and grandmother. I am kind of fond of her for this tenderness. Yes, now she is retired, but still takes care of her three grandchildren.  Besides, even I feel deeply that kindness she uses to guide a kid to demonstrate the meaning of the life. Our best memory was our honeymoon in Hallstatt, Austria. So it is no coincidence that we wished to feel the same atmosphere there, even years later.  Forty-one years ago in Hallstatt, on our second day of our honeymoon, we rented a boat to see that amazing landscape closer, but we couldn’t predict the rainy weather that started suddenly after a couple of minutes while we were still on the boat.  We both got wet under the heavy rain until we arrived at our hotel."
