"I thank my husband, Alvaro, for having chosen me among all of the women in the world. In the past eighteen years as his life partner, he has showed his help, support, love, and worry for me. I have many good memories with Alvaro. The most important moment was on February 4, 1999 when I married him. I still look at our wedding photos and become excited, even though it was a simple ceremony. We had a civil ceremony with only three guests. I didn’t care how simple it was, because this was the day that Alvaro demonstrated I was someone important to him. It’s not easy to share your last name with another person. Marriage can be complicated at times, with many ups and downs. But on that day, we accepted the challenge and are still together. On our wedding day, we were already living together. We drove together to the Notary 11 office, located in the great zone of Bogotá. We arrived at 4:00pm, well dressed and well groomed. The weather was nice and the Notary’s speech was beautiful. After the ceremony, we celebrated at home with our guests. We had great food and wine, but most importantly, great company. That is why it was a very simple, yet unforgettable moment." "I remember when I was in high school just 2 months before my final exams ,I had some experimental exams and I got 74%!! In Egypt this score doesn't allow you to join many faculties and everyone in the house was disappointed and kept blaming me, but my mother was the only one who encouraged me and gave me a lot of self-confidence. She took a leave from her work ( and she is a doctor by the way ) just to help me in my studies and review the lessons with me. She was the only person who caught me when I fall. She woke up in the early morning and stayed up late just to study with me. Then it was the time when I started my final exams and waited for a few weeks anxiously before my results came up. Surprisingly I got a very high score and I was able to join the faculty of medicine and make my parents proud of me ."Literally my parents were over the moon and they couldn't believe that I have transformed to a completely different person and I felt like a nerd." When I get caught up in the mundane and crazy stuff of every day life, we might forget to be thankful. When I do stop and think about what I’m thankful for, or better yet, make a gratitude list, life is better. I am better. DigiThanks helps me remember to be grateful for the people […]
I’ve started to think more positively, to let go of the bad and negative thoughts which encircle my head on an almost daily basis. Take back the control I once had and enjoy each day like I did before I got sick which is why I decided to write this post, I have a lot to […]
Speaking words of Gratitude are much more than ‘Thank You.’ – it is an intentional journey to the heart – to gather, collect, and reflect that which benefits all.
To love others well, we need fill our own emptiness with divine love that never ends. Agape love is unconditional. Agape is the kind of love God feels for us even when we don’t feel it ourselves. As Anne Lamott described it: “You were loved because God loves, period. God loved you, and everyone, not […]
