Gratitude Story from the United Kingdom

If you wanted to send a thank-you note to someone in your life, who would it be, and what is one of your best memories of that person? "I want to send a thank-you note to my grandfather. I remember you since I remember myself as a person! From that point onward, I have memories of when I got home from school and ran towards you, asking for your blessing, and you gave me a kiss on the hand; I remember the crowd of people in your office every day. I remember all the Christmases in your company, how you preserved the family union, the affection and love that you always gave us, as your daughters. I knew I could always count on you. But mostly, I remember the awesome stories you've told, full of wisdom, that taught me a lot and helped me to see you as the hero you were! A hero that risked his own life to save his son, one that was in war with the mission to save lives.A hero as a father, as a grandfather, as a friend, and as a doctor!Thank you, Grandpa Costa." If you wanted to send a thank-you note to someone in your life, who would it be, and what is one of your best memories of that person? "My father is an incredible man and full of unconditional love. I think the thing that he did for me, more so than anything, is just the unconditional love to be exactly who I want to be. He has always loved and never put conditions on what I do. He encouraged me to move to New York 30 years ago and become an artist. Whatever it is that I have decided to do with my life, he just wants to make sure I’m happy. I think everyone is born an artist. He nurtured whatever it is that I wanted to do. When I was a child, I asked him if I could paint my walls red and all of the furniture black. I remember that was one thing I did. And then I painted the walls purple and all of my furniture pink. He allowed me to wear whatever I wanted and he encouraged me to do what I wanted to."
